When I reached 3000 pageviews, I drew Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer's Apprentice so I'm continuing the Fantasia theme for 4000! If you've seen Fantasia 2000, you'll know that this is a scene from The Firebird Suite, where this fairy woman thing creates spring but gets attacked by an evil firebird. Anyway, this was done using my new colouring pencils and it took me no less than FIVE HOURS non stop work (apart from a half hour break to watch the Simpsons!) Her eyes aren't quite symmetrical and there are a couple of other little flaws but otherwise I'm totally thrilled with the result! I think it's my best work to date. I am now sick of green pencils though! Nothing to do with the number 4000 or DeviantART or anything, but I said I'd do a special piece to commemorate it. Again, THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO'S VISITED MY PAGE!
Oh wow! That's absolutely great! The colours are really nice...I can't colour to save my life...but you did a really great job!
I also really like the butterfly on her nose. It's cool. I will call it...Mandy.
The eyes are really nice too
Beautiful picture fishbulb! She's very pretty, and you did a great job, and I love all the green!

it's not THAT bad.... otherwise I wouldn't have faved it... It's a little off yes, but it's hardly noticeable, unless you're really looking for it. See, I wouldn't probably have noticed if you hadn't mentioned about the eyes in the descriptiong. But I really think the rest of the picture more than makes up for it. And you're welcome.

Now it's time for August 2008 Visual Art Features, many new art to discover!
Don't forget that many artists need to be viewed, they deserve it! Fave Fave Fave! My main purpose in doing a monthly feature about (to my point of view) 'the best visual art' is to put in the same level as well wellknown artists and popular creations as unknown artists and under-exposed creations. Artists need to be supported. So don't be shy!
Here's the Menu per Category :
